Infosys Written Test Pattern 2018
Infosys has a total three sections in the exam which are –
- Logical Reasoning
- Aptitude Exam
- Verbal English
There is no negative marking in the test, negative marking used to be there in the Infosys Written test in 2017 but from this year it has been removed.
The first section in the test is Logical which is followed by Aptitude and then finally English.

Infosys separates colleges into Grade A and Grade B and C colleges.
Grade A colleges are most NITs and other top ranking institutes.
Grade B colleges are most state colleges, IP, Amity, etc
For Grade A Colleges
There is no Technical round, only HR round is conducted, but we have seen that HR may ask basic C questions in very rare cases if they prefer.
For Grade B and C colleges
There are both HR and Technical rounds. In Technical rounds you can be asked

HR Questions –

Is the Written Test and Interview Conducted on the same day?
Ans. For On Campus it is generally on the same day or the next day. However, for Off campus drive its on the next day.
When are the exam Results announced?
Ans. For Written Test Results – The exam results are announced on the same day or next day for On Campus drive generally. For Off campus the results are announced at the same day so you can attend the interview the very next day. However, for Final results after the interview it may take as much as 14 days.
Is there a combined Technical or HR interview or they are conducted Separately?
Ans. They are Conducted separately for Infosys.
Documents Required to be Carried
- Proof of photo identity – PAN card/ Aadhar card/ Passport/ Voter ID/ Driver’s License (No photocopies allowed; Original documents should be shown)
- Copy of Call Letter that was sent in the mail
- Filled hard-copy of the Scholastic Average Sheet (SAS)
- 2 recent Passport-size colour photograph in formal attire
The overall Quantitative Aptitude section of the drive was of the medium difficulty level. According to various test-takers, the following can be interpreted:
5 Infosys questions asked in the Quants section was easy and the remaining 5 were tricky and difficult.
The easy Infosys questions were from Percentages, Time and Distance, Cryptarithmetic, Profit and Loss, and Mensuration.
This time, a new type of question was introduced in the Infosys Drive. A passage was given with several numbers and questions were asked from it. These questions were difficult to answer. Some of these questions involved permutation and combination.
The type of Time and Distance question asked in one of the papers is– If I start from home 2 hours late and travel at x km/hr 2, I will reach the office at r time. If I start 2 hours early and travel at y km/hr, I will reach the office at s time. Find the distance between home and work.
The new type of question is– A passage was given about 4 Mobile phones from the brands HTC, Nokia, Moto and Samsung. Each phone has a Dual Camera with megapixels ranging from 1 – 8. The questions asked were tricky and the candidates were asked to find the possible combination of megapixels they ask for.
Cryptarithmetic questions asked were- CARROT + MIN+ T= POTATO and please + make = offer – o+f+s+r
The candidates were asked to find the area of the Trapezium from the Mensuration Topic.
